Laptop not powering up?

Laptop power supply lead has failed - no output to laptop. I have tried a new power supply which is definately working but the laptop still shows no signs of life. Was wondering if when the original supply failed it could have blown an internal fuse or caused other internal supply. Any ideas would be appreciated.

try leaving your laptop for a couple of days with the battery out and power supply in.
Or try replacing the battery on the motherboard.

Sometimes bad battery can cxauyse that. Try remving it an then applying power.

Can't even speculate any further as they are different and you don't say what you have.
