Honda Izzy conks?

I have a Honda Izzy. It runs for 1-2 minutes and then conks, but restarts easily after an interval. I've stripped down the fuel system and cleaned it out but this has failed to solve the problem. The breather on the fuel tank is clear.

mine's got the same problem - butterfly isn't stuck. Have cleaned carb and jets as best I can..
the only other thing I've not tried is to actually add new fuel (the original should be OK as it had B&Q fuel stabiliser in.. any other suggestions, anyone?
