fixing wing mirror drivers side vauxhall omega (WReg)?

How can I remove the drivers side fascia on the door to be able to get at the fixing of the wing mirror base.
chris, February 2009
I have just done similar on my Astra, but in removing the triangle, the plastic bits that clip the triangle back on snapped off, hence the triangle is only held on by the handle that moves the mirror. Can anyone advise where I can buy new clips?

dont remove door panel facia! inner triangle clips off, just pull door facia away from the door a bit. remove the triangle piece, then undo the three 13mm bolts. remove the screws and it pulls out.
However, if its electric, you need to prise the coloured backplate off, really carefully. to gain access to the electricals. If wanting to remove complete and pulls wires from door panel, then it should be a case of prising the panel off to reach the coupling. I know no manual is made for the later model, but the earlier haynes manual is 98% the same, including door panel removels.
