Even though I have filled the salt container whenever I turn the dishwasher on the salt indicator light flashes several times.
What is it indicating?
Is my machine faulty? It seems to work okay.

You only need salt in a hard water area salt is a water softner. And you should not have to fill it all the time i am in Scotland and we only have to put it in to kill bacteria building up in the bottom of the D/W and it only needs it once a year. Most tablets have salt in them. ? are you putting it in the bottom of the D/W and are you useing dishwasher salt i have to say that becouse i fit them all the time and people ask if it is just table salt they have to use.
