I have a craftsman digital router that is reading err1 on the digital display. There is no mention in the manual for troubleshooting this error. I have e-mailed Sears and got a message back to go to a site called Manage My Home. No help. Any thoughts? I have left the battery that operates the digital computer out for a week and put it back in. I even tried to push different buttons individually and at the same time. No help.

Any thoughts?

I bought the Craftsman 17517 router today and had the exact same issue. The backlight turns on momentarily and then Err - 1 is displayed indefinitely. My guess is Sears will just replace the entire unit. Let me know if you found a way to fix this problem.
