can I turn of the mains water and still run central heating?

I have a leaking cold water tap in the bathroom basin and an isolated leak coming up through the bathroom carpet (approximately 2 feet way from basin/wall). Can I turn of the water mains but keep the central heating on? Can live with it and don't want to pay Sunday plumber call out rates-would prefer to wait until Monday before calling plumber out.
