You said that you have to cut it and all those stuff. Is it possible if you can just have it unplugged since it has the white connector on it? I haven't opened my laptop yet but the picture from the link showed that there is a white connector. Is it possible if you can send me pictures of how you change the cmos? Im afraid of messing it up. order a replacement battery then do the following remove mains adapter
remove mains battery
remove cmos battery
insert new battery
insert main battery
insert mains adapter
power up
job done!!!
