Hi there my two year old one has done the same,missing pre set programs - next stage the whole thing frooze up!
Try this power off at socket or switch at back -
unplug ariel
power on
go to menu then installation pass word (0000)
go to default setting --yes-- wait a while
then turn off power plug in ariel
auto search the channels back in
give it a try.
just done this to mine and it seems ok now
