When I switched on my TV, there was a message saying no signal. I tried doing the Autoscan to find the channels again. Now it says 'database empty' Just left with really rubbish reception through analogue setup.

Have I deleted vital info by redoing autoscan?

Came home put tv on and it said no signal so re scanned for channels and now says empty data base and no carrier what to do try several attempts gave up went to to bed :( no Tv

I thought I had major problems when the CTV showed 'Database empty' and for weeks used the AVI channel to take the signal from the DVD/VHS recorder to watch TV. It was only when I read the notes on here that I discovered I could still receive analogue so went on to the digital showing the message 'database empty' and tried retuning and it restored all of the digital progammes. So simple that I had overlooked the obvious.

I had the same problem. It turned out to be the Top-Up TV card in the slot in the back. I turned the TV off at the mains. Removed the Top Up TV card. Turned on the TV and went to the auto scan menu. This time the channels were found.
