They are two different things. RAM - Random Access Memory is real memory and you increase by adding more to the PC. It isn't possible to give a better answer as you don't say what you PC is.
Virtual Memory is what it says, it isn't real but is an area of disk. It is controlled by the PC's Operating system and, in the case of Windows is best left to do it without intervention by end users.
