Miele G603 SCVi dishwasher noisy pump?

I have a miele G603 SCVi dishwasher and when it is swiched on the pump usually comes on to darin excess water - it has become very noisy during this part of the cycle - is there anywaty of getting to it to see if it has anything blocking it? When you remove the filter there is an "L" shaped elbow with a spring on it, I have pulled the spring back but cannot pull the elbow out - I do not want to lever it for fear of damage - ANY ADVICE Please?

Yeah, lever it out.It won,t hurt it.You'll get a small whoosh of water. When it's out, you can see the drain pump impeller. In there somewhere is a foreign body, causing the noise(probably a fruit stone or a small piece of glass). You'll probably need to clear all the water to be able to see the problem.

Ok I have done it myself. I went back and gave it another try, pulling with more force on the elbow released it and exposed the impeller of the pump which had what looked like soggy tissue paper caught in it (not sure how this got through the filter!!) but removing this has got rid of the noise and am back to normal. Hope this helps someone else
