vauxhall corsa 1.2 16v?

hi my vauxhall corsa hit a large pheasant taking out my radiator, ive fitted new radiator payed a so called mechanic 30quid to bleed it for me properly, but it keeps getting too hot, rite amount of coolant in it and water, thought that maybe my thermostat were playing up so removed it,no different, fans kicking in when it gets really hot, head gasket seems fine, tho the heater wont blow out hot air,ive had all of the coolant pipes off apart from the ones comming off the back of the heater matrix, which are cold.is the heater unit blocked and if it is how can i remedy this?????if this is my problem????

Sounds like you have an air lock in the system Check the heater hoses for a bleed valve.(usually a small plastic screw set into the hose) With the engine cold remove the pressure cap, Open the valve but do not fully remove the screw, run the engine until coolent flows freely out the valve then close it, ensure that the water level is correct in the expansion tank refit pressure cap and then run the engine up to normal on the temp gauge Heater should now blow hot Remember to test anti freeze mixture
