I recently put a cup of ice in my disposal, following a "helpful hints advice" column I had received, which promptly jammed my unit. I tried to reset the disposal but to no avail- now it won't even make a humming sound. My guess is that it is a goner but just wondering if anyone else has had this trouble- I've noticed that this advice to use ice to service your disposal is given quite often through realtors/ helpful hints type things. Anyone else out there had this problem? I'm feelin' not so intelligent right now!
