fixing rear brakes ?

03 plate rear wheel drive ford transit van 350 with drum brakes . failed m.o.t on rear brakes imbalance what is the most likiley the fault

my van has had the same problem every time i got it tested seams to be a flaw with the braking system 00+ models! last time i had to replace pads hubs and brake pads to get both sides braking the same, the hubs can be hard to remove, i think u need to put screwdriver though the hole where the bolts go in and unclip brake shoes! and mayb invest in a rubber mallet.
hope this helps :)

How do you take the rear droms off??

I have a 350M year 2000, and It's like it's welded on there.

Can find any screws that could hold it, so I guess it's just rusted thight..........
Have been going at it with a hammer and heat, but it wont come off???

did it fail on service brake and handbrake. it could be adjusment if it failed on both. fit it only failed on service brake it could be cylinder and if failed on handbrake it could be cable. best thing would be to fit new shoes to be sure and check cables and cylinders when dismanted. this is not an easy job so get a mechanic. sometimes very hard to get drums of rear of transit.
