My pilot light wont come on due to the fact the extraction fan at the top will not spin on its own, If you push it/ jump start it it will spin the pilot light will come on an as well the burner, heating. However give it 10 mins and the pilot light will go off again. Do I need a new fan? if so how much are they? Can you fit them yourself? Etc?

Sounds like the fan is kapput.Fairly expensive but not too bad to fit.Some will argue that because you are taking the case off you are breaking the boiler seal so should be Corgi Regd,but as you arent touching the gas supply and as long as you are careful you will be ok.
