I have a Hotpoint Twin Tub which I use for washing the dogs blankets. The spinner works but the washing part has stopped working, when I switch it on it just makes a buzzing noise. I am desperate to get it going again as it is perfect for the job it is doing and these machines are getting very difficult to obtain.

my twin tub hotpoint 9403 wont spin washing part works spinner makes a noise but just pumps water out took both 2 belts off they were very frayed is it the larger one of the belts that drives the actual spinner

it will likely be the relay coil inside the machine which starts the motor. it can jam. check drive belt too in case motor is turning but not driving gearbox
