bathroom light ?

i have removed the ceiling rose and fitted a new light the wiring consisted of,
earth x3
live x3
neutral x 2
switch neutral x1
i fitted the earth , live and neutral x2 and the switch wire by itself in a 4 block connector the switch neutral was by itself not feeding anything and now the light is all up it wont turn off??
i have checked in the pull switch and the neutral is marked with red tape and in the light fitting it is marked with red tape???

All the three Red wires connect together and to nothing else - you do not connect the light to these wires.

The Switched Live (Black with a Red Sleeve) is the supply to the lamp that can be turned on and off - You connect the lamp (Brown) and nothing else to this wire.

Two Neutrals and Neutral return form lamp together.

i have the switched live by itself then all live to live neutral to neutral and earth to earth is this right??

The wire you call the Switch Neutral is not a Neutral - It's Switched Live - i.e. Live when the switch is in the on position. It's often Black in colour and looks like a Neutral wire and is supposed to have a Red sleeve to show that it's special, scary & dangerous.

This wire, with the red sleeve (Switched Live) connects on its own to the light so it can be turned on and off as you operate the switch - you do not connect the light to Live - only to Switched Live. The other side of the light connects to the two Neutral wires.

Good luck...Take care...
