DRIBBLING FLUSH PIPE?

After I have flushed the toilet their is still a dribble of water coming from the flush pipe into the bowl. The toilet is quite old and is a push button flush

Since your system is old, probably the rubber valve in your cistern is worn out. May be you would have to change the rubber valve.

Try the suggestion by Brian first before deciding to change the rubber valve.

Reggie,

Remove the lid on your toilet cistern you will then see the Ballcock, at the opposite end of the ball you will see an adjuster. Loosen the locknut back about 3 full turns, and turn adjuster anti-clockwise about 2 turns, then tighten up the lock nut again. This should stop the water from rising too high.

Good Luck
