Hallo:

Agreed with Kris.

I am using an Electronic Programmer, called ACL Lifestyle Model LP522, with my old boiler central heating.
It has off, on, once and twice functions too.

I can programme the programmer with a hidden compartment at the bottom; just flipping it down.

There are two programmes' options:

1) Monday to Friday - time come on and off
2) Saturday to Sunday - time come on and off

I can re-programme it by pressing "SET" button in the hidden compartment to select an option and by changing the ON/OFF time with the + or - buttons. Initially, I was not sure whether it would work correctly, as I wanted.

Therefore, I just programmed it to come on just for a 10mins to check. Trial and error. Well, it works for me.

Have you tried to find out the model of the programmer and do a search in a search engine to see if it could come up with some manual?

I found my manual from Google (the first result - PDF file):

http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=ACL+Lifestyle+model+LP522&btnG=Search&meta=

Good luck.

hello Natasha, i presume that you talking about your programmer-and that is the times that you want your central heating and your hot water on and off.

it depends what type of central heating system you have.

it has four functions you can choose from

1) off - off at all times
2) on - on all the time
3) once - which means - on once and off once during the day
4) twice - which means - on twice a day and off twice a day - i.e. you might want the heating on in the morning - lets say 7am - 9am - and in the evening - 4pm - 10pm - that is what is called twice.

Hi Natasha,
You can get an instuction manual from the internet if you know the model number, should be on it.
Also Landis & gyr are now called Landis & Staefa part of the Siemens Group. If you contact Siemens with the model no. they will send you one free of charge.
Cheers
