I have cleaned out the pump via bottom filter, but still no joy. As soon as i switch on at mains, all lights flashing, and i cannot get it to do anything. Anyone shed any light?

Hi. I had the same problem. I would press on button and all lights were flashing. I first removed the kick panel and unscrewed the filter.I cleaned it although it looked ok. Some water came out and bits and pices from the wash. Cleaned it from inside and replaced filter. I then undid the cold water hose at the rear and made sure the pressure was ok. I then replaced this properly back in (be sure to turn the hose valve to the off position BEFORE unscrewing from the machine). After this i pressed on. Initially it still seemed the same. However, i put some clothes into the drum and powder in the compartment. I pressed cancel for a while and then the power button also. I then turned machine off from the mains. Waited a few seconds and switched back on. Hey presto! Seems to be fine yet..lets hope it stays that way.

hi i have the same problem have been told to disconect lay on face remove small panel at rear btm take of black hose which has filter and float inside as this is the 1st point most engineers check if you find it works or a different solution let us know back here

I have the same problem have looked on the Hotpoint site and it says blocked filter have cleaned out the filter but I now think it needs re setting Hotpoint want £100 call out if you fix it please let me know!!
