37'' LCD POLAROID WITH NO PICTURE ?

polaroid 37'' lcd picture comes on for about the first 2 seconds then fades to black only the picture goes away and the sound remains is this a part that I can replace
T.J. Holden, March 2009
There are two capacitors on the power supply module that are bad. (1000uf 10v). It is easy to fix (solder tools and solder), and parts are free if you have access to old monitors, power supplies, etc. We fixed ours in less than 30 minutes. 3 black screws on the back, then 3 gold screws to take off a metal shield, then 4 screws to take out the power supply module. Look for 2 bulging capacitos. Replace them and reassemble. Good Luck.
