My to repair my usb pen drive?

i bought a pen drive from a person that came to my office.On that drive when I paste any data it's working fine.but when i tried to read that data then it doesn't support that files.What I can do to resolve this problem.

if its a microsoft office file your trying to open such has word or excel then the computer your using must have office installed also
