How can I fix my hotpoint BWM129 washing machine?

Hello, My Hotpoint BWM129 Washing machine has developed a fault. It no longer completes a wash cycle and has the following lights constantly flashing; Door lock, Superwash, and Rinse hold. Any advise will be much appreciated. Thanks

Thank you for all the advice - we've just cleaned out our pump as per instructions and found about £4 worth of change as well as various other debris. Now working perfectly.
What a result - my husband is very pleased with his expertise in washing machine maintenance...

This happens a lot with this machine , to prevent small clothing items getting caught in the pump or rubber hose put the small intems in a pillow case when washing it will save you a lot of bother and a call out charge , I am now changing my machine to a Bosch Triple A rated with a five year warranty for £169 covers everything stuck sock and all from Currys they an expensive machine but peace of mind is priceless , also doing £50 cash back from Bosch on some machines and free delivery , check out this site The Top Ten Site .Com its brill gives you the low down and says dont by Hotpoint !

Thanks to Sportster...I've just mended my washer following your advice, probably saving a fortune. I was having the same problem as the description with the Hotpoint BWM129 and found there was a colour catcher caught in the pump.

Just for any girls out there, who like me, are a bit dizzy when it comes to fixing things! The pump in my case was on the bottom right front of the machine under the plinth, so it involved taking the bottom bit of my cabinets off to get to the pump before following Sportsters advice. Also, be aware that a considerable amount of water may come out of the pump when you take it out. I found opening it a bit with a baking tray underneath useful :-) until it was empty.

Thanks again

ive just had the exact same problem on a 14 month old machine, after kicking off with hotpoint who wanted a £99 to fix it they informed me it was a blockage, after a bit of digging around on the net i found out u can replace the pump, but you dont need to do this, u need to take the machine out so u can tilt it back (warning, it will be heavy as full of water) take the 2 screws out of the pump, little black circel thing at the bottom right of your washer. tilt the washer back and clip the pump out then remove the black pipe by squeezing the clip together and pulling, you will find something in the pump(normally a sock) remove it, put it back together and voila.
