thomson dt 16300, the amber ligth keeps flashing and will not turn on with remote.new batteries in remote. turned power off .

remove power for 20 seconds, restore power while holding in standby/power on button on front panel. release standby button immediately you see a light blib on the dtr front display then quickly press front buttons menu then ok,wait 60 seconds should return to on automatically.worked first time for me after spending 5 hours trying to get it back on.
