Tub fills up but it does not cycle to wash, rinse, or spin

Other possibility - which I am working on myself at this moment -is that the motor brushes are in need of replacement, so the motor is just not driving the drum round when it should be, so nothing preceeds. Get the motor off and have a look at the brushes.

program could have arrived at the point where the HEATER ELEMENT should kick in and heat the water, but if the element is O/C ( burnt out) program will hang/or not advance forward.
need to check the heater element for RESISTANCE using a D.M.M high reading ON THE MEG SCALE or infinite the element is O/C
