Scum build up on drum on Bosch washing machine?

There is a build up of scum on the outer side of the drum (maybe) due to use of too much detergent over the years. This causes smuts from time to time. The bearing is perfect.
I have tried white vinegar sometimes to clear it but no good. I don't want to strip the machine down if I can find a suitable cleaner that will clear it.

I have just cleaned the hoses and water level hose together with the drainage plubing. I found that the front pump was also blocked with scum. I was able to remove all the drainage pipes from the machine however the most difficult to clean was the white plastic unit which think controls the water level.
The scum removed will lay in the bottom of you sink suggest you do not fush away because of this. when I drained the sink a layer of heavy scum was left behind. The white plastic unit fitted inside the machine was difficult to clean I used bleach and a pressure washer out side the house. Do not get bleach on your clothes. I suggest that you have basic knowledge before starting work. I did manage to have an elecric shock due to my stupidity. Turn off the power!! Basic but I failed to unplug the unit. Still alive to tell the tail. I would sugest to buy the parts rather than tying to clean them as I have. The amount of scum removed would have almost filled a pint glass.
