FOOT LEVER WIRING?

Hi
Could you please help me with a problem I have regarding a singer motor. I have an old motor (catalog B.U.K. 12-E motor no.k4259296 ) together with the foot pedal ( part no. 198269 ). I am trying to create a lathe for repairing fishing rods and want to know how to wire the motor incorporating the foot pedal. I have a 3 pin male connector which fits the motor and when plugged into the mains works fine , but I would like hands free hence the foot pedal. Please could you help in this matter or point me in the right direction. I thank you for your time and effort.
Regards

Hello Robert,
The wires from the mains and the wires from the foot control should be the two live wires together, and the two neutral wires should go one to the middle pin and one to the other pin, you may have to change the neutral wires round if the machine runs on without pushing on the control.
