i have a Servis 1300 washing machine. When we put it on a wash it starts the pre wash, then skips the rinse cycle and the spin cycle and goes straight to end, all within about 5mins leaving all the garments unwashed and soaking wet! Any ideas how to fix this?

sounds like your timer's shot , to get to it , you'll have to remove the back of the top of the washer if it's an upright (toploader). this is usually held on by a few screws in the front trim piece then you'll have to remove the timer knob , (held on by a screw in the middle of the dial) after that it's easy and you can go to an on-line appiance site type in your make and model of your washer , and you might have to enter the# on the timer good luck!
