How to open my door completely?

I have an electric garage door installed by Autoroll which was impeded by the car one night and came out of the runners. It is now back in the runners but will close only to half way up because it was completely unwound. There is no control to reset, only two split pins at each side and when they were removed the door could be manually wound up a little higher but it will not go any higher. Any help?

I assume that your door is an insulated version by the 'wind up 'clue. The motor limit settings decide how high the door curtain opens to. If you can't reset them you need to push the curtain up until it is free of the guide tops and then tuck it back over the roll and into the guides again. This is a two man operation. If your roll has a cover fitted inside, this needs to be removed. This procedure will reset the motor/curtain relationship. You should get a professional installer to set the limits properly and avoid any further damage.
