I have an SD23VB combi. Were never really happy with functionality but should have complained while within warranty - it has now expired and DVD unit not working. Have tried using DVD/CD lens cleaner but problem persists. It plays intro/trailers then starts to stick in the film itself - some worse than others (have also cleaned all DVDs) Can you recommend if this is worth repairing and if so by whom/at what cost? At the time we bought this unit it was comparatively expensive and we're aware there are many cheaper equivalents now. Can't help but think 'what a waste' probably just needs opened up and cleaned or a loose wire fixed! I hate this 'throwaway' society where technology is out-of-date before you know it. We are in dire financial straits due to long-term illness so would love to get this fixed cheaply!
