Your model DOES have an heating element. It's for the GRILL facility. That said, it's hard to get to if you don't have the right tools and experience. Also, being an older model, you may have difficulty in obtaining the heating element you require..

The 923TSL is a combi microwave/oven/grill. There is a heating element at the top behind a metal grill for the heating functions. There is also a magnetron at the side (held in by one screw and with a two prong connector) - this produces the microwave radiation. The wave guide/feed on mine was spitting fire - not a good feature in a magnetron! Spare parts sites did not have images, so I was not confident that I would receive the part I would be expecting. I bought a cheap microwave as the more expensive Daewoo only lasted just over a year.

Hi,
from behind is the answer, and best left to a tech. probably not the cost effective solution you wish for. Also unless you have the skill to test the element and its circuitry don't bother. poke and hope is not a good game

A microwave oven consists of:

a high voltage transformer, which passes energy to the magnetron
a cavity magnetron, which converts high-voltage electric energy to microwave radiation
a magnetron control circuit (usually with a microcontroller)
a waveguide
a cooking chamber

There is no heating element...
