bathroom sink?

i have a mixer tap which is coming loose were the base of the chrome tap meets the sink, there is no water leak and the taps still work, looked underneath the sink and their seems to be no obvious way of tightening this up. Any ideas?

It sounds like a monbloc tap? If so, there is a long nut centrally at the back of the tap, and tightening this clamps the tap down tight.
