why is my Bosch KGU 6655 leaking a puddle of water once/twice within 24hrs?

My Upright Fridge/Freezer, Bosch KGU 6655, is leaking a puddle of water once/twice within 24 hrs. I find the puddle of water on the left hand side, under the unit. Why is this happening and how can I fix this problem.

I believe that I have found the answer. I checked the internal drain under the evap/heater exchanger and notice it was packed with ice. Thawed this and noticed that water was running into the tray under the compressor.. Fingers cross...
