water is too hot?

my hot water is too hot.i have fitted a new cylinder stat and set it at 50 deg but the water is still too hot, the boiler is an ideal classic and was set at 77 deg(no5) but i have reduced it to 72deg(no4) .

Have you considered trying setting number 3?

check immersion isnt switched also zone valve could be stuck open so its always heating the cylinder.

Hi,

Where did you mount the stat on the immersion? it should be 1/3 from the bottom. Is it wired the right way?
