Why is changing a bulb on a 2006 Dodge Caliber so difficult?

I am trying to replace the H4 headlamp bulbs on my 2006 Caliber. The rear of the headlamp unit is tucked so tight to the various other items behind that only the smallest of arms and longest of fingers could do anything. I have tried removing the coolant reservoir out of the way and the washer bottle, but still there isn't enough room On the other side, the battery could probably be totally removed to gain access. I just don't see why I should take it to the garage for something so simple.

Thanks for any help.

Try a Renault Modus, mate. You have to take the front bumper off which means both front wheels, wheel arch liners and undertray have to come off first. Maybe yours is similar? If you do get in there, replace all of the bulbs to be on the safe side.
