how can i fix my heatslave 20/25?

i just noticed there is leak coming from my heatslave 20/25, and now there is a horrible screeching noise coming from the heatslave. The only way i could stop the screeching was to switch it off at the mains.
Do you think that the water has completely drained from the heatslave.
