My Zanussi FL828 won't start?

When I close the door and pull the timer switch on it won't start filling with water. Is there something wrong with the door catch?

sounds like the door interlock has failed and needs replacing.this is the part behind where you shut the door and the pin goes through. held on with 2 large pozi screws
