microwave?

My microwave has stopped working. No power to it at all. Check plug etc...I was using it at the time and think it has over heated. It shouldn't have done because it was only used to cook 2 ready meals. One after the other.

Reasonable advice from the two previous sources, only I find more internal fuses rupture due to a faulty high voltage component failing. This is internal to the machine and only experienced personel should attempt a diagnosis or repair. It's usually expensive to fix by todays cheap-to-buy standards so heed Peccavi and buy another?

Hi Debbie,
you dont list make or model so hard to make any really specific reply other than the main reason most microwaves fail is due to failure of the door safety interlock switches, this blows out an internal monitor fuse, which is there to prevent the oven working with the door open. Highly dangerous.

The gubbins inside makes very high voltage and this is used to make microwave radiation like Radar waves. Something is broken and it's a bit dangerous to mess around inside. Have it reparired or buy a new one.

Take care...
