i HAVE A OLDER SONY CAMCORDER WHICH WONT SWITCH ON ON THE ODD TIME IT DOES MANAGE TO SWITCH ON IT WILL RECORD AND PLAT ALTHOUGH THE PLAYBACK IS FULL OF LINES AND HAVE TO PERSEVERE IN TRYINY TO EJECT THE TAPE

got a simalair problem with mine i have to keep unpluging the adapter or the battery to get the tape to eject also no audio on playback.picture keeps jumping and is of poor quality repeated beeps when trying to playback unless i turn power of and on.have tried looking on the net but no joy sorry cant help but thought id let you kow i have same sort of problems if i hear of a cure ill let you know
