indesit 1263 not draining?

this washer completes the cycle but still has an amount of water left in it,should i check the level switches?

You don't say weather the machine attempted a spin or WHAT amount of water remains.
The level switch controls the fill level, are you in doubt about this?
If the filter has foreign matter in it or fluff, it will impede the draining process. This should be looked at as a matter of course. It is behind the plinth.
Drum not rotating COULD signify worn motor brushes.

I had this on my Bosch DW two days ago... I took out all the filters at the bottom and drained it by hand with a cup into a bucket and mopped up any residue.

In the bottom of the chamber on the left was a single Torx screw. I undid the screw and lifted the plastic cover it held in place to reveal the drain pump impeller.

The blades had bits of debris trapped underneath - sweetcorn, lemon pips and some chipped crockery. After tweezering it all out I checked the the impeller rotated and put it all back together - 10 - 20 minute fix. I hope yours is similar...

Good luck...
