How can I transfom icons into a list in the View menu, in MY COMPUTER?

When selecting My Computer a series of icons appear. How can I change them to a list permanently? I am using WINDOWS XP 2 .

select "Start -> My Computer"
at the top select "View -> List"
then select "Tools -> Folder Options"
Click on the tab "View"
Click the button "Apply To All Folders"
click "Yes"
click "Ok"
