leaking cold water joint?

Hi, wonder if you can help. I am connecting a douche shower hose pipe (1/2") to a cold water pipe in the bathroom. They both have male ends and I have a copper female-female connector to join them together. The problem is water is leaking from the joint (both ends). I have tried ptfe tape in the threads of the male connectors but it still leaked. So I tried using Boss supergreen from B&Q on the male threads but no luck - still leaking from the joints. Can anyone advise please?

Hi, as suggested, I went to a couple of local plumber suppliers and asked for a f-f connector with restricted ends - no luck. Do u know where I can get such a connector? - does it have a special name?

Thankyou Mr K for the advice I will give it a try

You need female ends with depth restricted so you can use fibre or rubber washer to seal water tight and no ptfe and no joint compound need to use.
