unblocking Fisher & Paykel Smart drive washing machine?

my smart drive fisher and paykel washing machine has a blockage problem after washing bathroom mats. i have twirled the fan a few times and tried to clear it that way. all it does is hum when it should be emptying water. does anyone know how i actually clear the blockage. where do I go from here?

You will have to remove the pump & clear it by hand. Get as much water out as possible using a jug. Water will come out when pump is removed so best if you can move the machine outdoors. Tip machine back as far as you can against a wall. Make sure power is off at the wall. Remove the wiring plug from pump & 1 green earth wire from side terminal. On right hand side of pump is a white plastic clip. Gently bend it out while you turn the pump body 90 deg to the right. It will then drop out of opening. Clean rubbish out of the opening in the tub. Put pump back up in place with the wiring plug facing toward the right hand cabinet wall. When it is right up & flush with bowl, turn it 90 deg to the left until you hear the white clip click in to place. Put back wiring plug & single green earth wire.
All you have to do now is remember not to wash mats in a washing machine.
