COMBI BOILER ?

No pressure on dial and water moving noise from the down stairs rads,and can not build pressure by adding water to system but there is no leaks anywhere.

Thanks for your help john,it was push fitting that had come out and any water that was added went under the floor boards and it triped out the electrics which keeps happening,but i have told it will stop when it drys out i hope. British gas guys coming tomorrow with any fitting hope that sorts it out.cheers.

It sounds like the pump is moving a certain amount of air - hence the noise - but if you are introducing water into the system, it must be going somewhere. Maybe the expansion vessel diaphragm has failed but still, there should be evidence of water. Any leaks under the floor? Can you be certain? The only other thing I can think about is that water is passing from the C/H heat exchanger into the DHW heat exchanger - but this usually causes the boiler to over pressurise.

i have checked that and no water is present,could it be

Have you checked the boiler overflow? Maybe the pressure release valve has stuck open. The water flowing into the boiler must be going somewhere....
