I have an older fibreglass boat but the plywood floor is carpeted and very rotten. Am looking for a proper How To reference to help me through the process of taking up the new floor and building a new one from the right materials that will actually fit. Any ideas? Boat Repair for Dummies would be up my alley.

I've got the same problem, I'm just going to takeup the old floor then frame in a new one. I'll use pressure treated 1by lumber to frame the floor then, plywood to cover the new floor then, I'll fiberglass sheet it, and some bondo. Then I'll put the seats back in. I hope it works for both of us.
