How can I fix my McCulloch FHH18A Power Washer?

My power washer is pouring alot of water out from the hand trigger everytime I turn the machine on (even when I do not have the hand trigger compressed). Therefore, there is no water pressure when I have the hand trigger compressed. Some water will come out of the end but very, very, little when the hand trigger is compressed.

Tiffany, you have a cracked rubber O ring inside the handle. They are fairly easy to replace.

Jo-Ann there is a spring.

Mark, the spring goes inside the brass fitting on the end of the hose that comes in from the pressure washer.

I haave the same problem - i replaced the O ring - but now can not figure out how to reassemble it - when I do I have water coming out of the sprayer ALL of the time, and the handle will NOT shut it off. I don't recall that there was a SPRING for sure, but that detail may have gotten by me - does anyone know> i also can not find a mechanical drawing for the inside of the sprayer handle.

It's probably a $0.47 rubber "O"-ring inside the hand trigger. I opened mine up, saw the cracked ring, and got a new one... but now I can't figure out where the spring goes to put the trigger mechanism back together!

I guess the lance hose has split at the coupling inside the handle. As this loses back pressure, your washer won't work well at all. Unfortunately, repairs or replacements to these often cost more than a new machine.....
