carbon brushes, motor, door catch, pump all seem OK. Stopped washing and pumped out but failed to spin, now will not either wash or spin. Any ideas please.

I have a machine I am due to visit with the same fault, Andy at washerhelp.com suggests it might be a faulty heater. The machine appaprently aborts the cycle if it can't get the water up to temp. Symptom is: fill, agitate for about 5 minutes or so, attempt to heat water, abort, pump dry and produce error code E1.
Likely fixes are: bad or broken wire to heater, burnt out or limescaled heater, duff controller PCB (less likely).
Sounds fairly major to get to but if you are electrically-savvy, hope this pointer helps.
