Cananyone tell me what error 4 is on ford 6006e and how do I fix it

went to car stereo shop and was told e4 is knackered laser and cant be repaired as manufacturer does not release parts

E4=disc upside down or dirty. clean the disc and try again-if error still shows then internal fault.
mine is showing E3 which means internal fault and i can't find any solutions to fix it other than paying a fortune!!
mine changed from E4 to an E3...hope this doesn't happen to you.
