how do i fix my dcol dyson, its not picking up properly?

Im wondering if i need to change a filter or something, my dyson DC01 performance is down,it doesnt pick up like it used to, is there a blockage? or does a filter need changing? how and how much and where do i get this from if this is the common case/

One other thing to check if the filters dont solve your problem, is the flexi hose, I've just replaced the hose, the split occured inside the ferule on the end of the tube at the wand end... once replaced, it was just like new. To see if its split, carefully pull the flex away.. dont use to much pressure, if its split, you'll see it.
Good luck

dyson dco1 filters need changing about every 3 months if these get blocked the macine will not pick up properly. if they are the common s level filters they are available form most big supermarkets for about £2 if it is a blockage you will have to check all hoses and the lower plate for rubbish
