If the carts are new send them back where you got them and get your money back, then go buy some genuine ones.
If your machine will not recognise gen carts, there is a problem with either the print head or main board. IF it's the main board, this can SOMETIMES be fixed by re flashing the firmware. If it's the print head - your goosed.
